A good way to cool down after Taxco's bustling downtown, is taking the aerial cable car leading to the top of the tallest hill overlooking the city.
This million-dollar Swiss-made cable car is located just a short walk east of town, at Los Arcos, by the remains of an old aqueduct. It ends up 173 meters north next to the luxurious Hotel Monte Taxco, on the other side the gorge.
